Preventative Treatments: Dental Exams
All our adult patients receive a thorough initial exam to diagnose levels of oral health and disease. This includes: oral cancer screenings, necessary x-rays, evaluation of periodontal hard and soft tissues, examination of existing dental restorations and the structural integrity of teeth, and assessment of the craniofacial complex and jaw relationships as related to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), dental wear patterns and esthetics. Using educational software, small cameras, and digital x-rays an explanation of dental problems and findings are discussed with our patients. Specific treatment plans are then made for each patient based on their individual needs.
