Meet Marla our wonderful office manager! (The Alpha Female)  She has been with Dr. Andrew Miller since October 2006.  She was born and grew up in Kansas City.  Marla has two beautiful huskies named Legend and Kane.  She has been happily married for sixteen years and after her husband retired from the military, he began working for the largest dental supply company in the country, Sullivan Schein, so they are all in the dental business.  They have three children, two girls aged ten and fourteen and one seven year old boy who has decided to be a dentist when he grows up.   Her favorite things to do are shopping, walking and, oh yes, shopping.  Marla knew from day one that this was the place whe was supposed to be.  To be able to wake up and look forward to going to work, is a blessing and not many people can say that.  Dr. Miller has to be one of the most kind-hearted Doctors she knows.  He puts everything into what he does and his work speaks for itself.  The staff is simply the best which makes her job so much easier.  Everyone realizes that it isn't just Dr. Miller's practice, but all of ours and they take great pride in it.  She always tells Dr. Miller that she is not going anywhere until he retires so, you'll all see her around for the next thirty years!  (That would put her at 68 so perhaps we should make that 20 years).

Brook joined the practice in August 2007.  She is happily Marla's assistant as well as patient coordinator.  She was born in in Salina, Kansas and, as an "air force brat" moved all over from Kansas, to Colorado, to England, Missouri, Texas and Washington.  She has a Westie called Harley.  Brook and Rob (her firefighter husband) has been married for five years.  She has two step daughters; Samantha is fourteen and Alysha is twenty.  She enjoys riding with Rob on the Harley, glass blowing, golf, camping and fishing.  Brook loves working for Dr. Miller!  She thinks he is a wonderful dentist and his work is phenomenal.  He cares about his patients and is the best when it comes to treating his staff with respect.  All the staff is friendly and Marla is the best office manager she has ever worked with.

Nyla is another one of our truly wonderful hygienists.  She's been with the practice for a year now.  We stole her away from Battle Creek, MI where she was born and raised.  Nyla attended the University of Detroit where she was the recipient of the Detroit Alumni Award which is presented to the graduate who demonstrates the highest clinical competence and professional deportment in patient care.  She enjoys hiking and fly fishing.  She has two cats, Wilson and Spencer.  She says that the hardest thing for her to leave in Michigan was the dental office that she had worked in for 16 years.  She didn't know if she would ever find another office that could match up.  Then she found Dr. Miller (or he found her).  She thinks he is wonderful and she couldn't ask for better co-workers.  She says she is truly lucky to love what she does and the people she works with.

Alesia is another one of our highly qualified EDDAs (Expanded Duties Dental Assistant).  She joined our practice in 2008. To list her qualifications and speciality training would take up the rest of the page. 

Alesia was born in in Augusta, Georgia, grew up in Elba, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama and the University of Wyoming.  She has three pets named Whiskers, Sophia and Henrietta.  She is married and has three children of her own, four step children and seven grand children.  She enjoys cooking and treveling.  Her favorite things about working for Dr. Andrew Miller are the stability of the management team and working with a highly skilled, professional team.

Jennifer, or Jennie as she liked to be called, is our latest addition to the practice.  She was born and raised in  Michigan and attended Ferris State University where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 2005.

Jennie got married in 2006 and her hobbies include traveling, boating, riding her ATV and camping.  She has two dogs called Bailey and Chase.  She thinks Dr. Miller is a wonderful dentist and her coworkers are great.  It’s a fun office and she looks forward to coming to work each day!
