Conventional BridgesA conventional bridge consists of two or more dental crowns linked together by pontic. To place a bridge, we must completely reshape the two teeth surrounding the open space, known as abutment teeth. Once the teeth are small enough to accommodate the size and shape of the crowns, we can permanently bond the bridge to the enamel. Unfortunately, a conventional bridge can put your abutment teeth at risk for damage or decay. An implant-supported bridge relies on your underlying bone instead of the surrounding teeth. Complete DenturesA complete denture is a removable appliance used to replace an entire arch of missing teeth.
